Lakers news: Russell Williams’ 47-point loss to Atlanta, lebron James’ injury update, notes suggest trading Westbrook
The lakers lost 121-129 to the Atlanta Hawks on Jan. 31, a three-game losing streak. It should be noted, however, that lakers star lebron James did not play in this game.Anthony Davis finished with 27 points, five rebounds and two steals, Russell Westbrook with 20 points, 12 assists and seven rebounds, and malik Monk with 33 points, 10 rebounds and five assists. The lakers are certainly the team that has struggled again recently due to lebron James’ injury problems, and certainly the team that hasn’t been competitive enough so far this season. On the other hand, the lakers star lebron – James injury situation has been updated.According to ESPN’s Dave McMenamin, Lakers coach Frank Vogel revealed James’ injury problems. “As long as he has swelling, he’s not going to play,” Vogel said.Lebron James has been the only bright spot on a lakers team that has struggled enough so far this season, but James’ health has clearly become the biggest problem for the lakers as a 37-year-old veteran. Finally, Russell Westbrook’s inability to fit in with the Lakers has been a major factor in the lakers’ struggles so far this season, and ESPN’s Zach Lowe suggested the Lakers push for a trade with the Knicks involving Westbrook:”I would advise the Lakers to try to push a deal for Westbrook. I think they can offer westbrook and the 2027 first-round pick and get kemba Walker, Alec Burks and Fournier back. That’s what I would suggest.”There have been a number of trade rumors involving Westbrook in the past few days, but the Lakers have had a hard time pushing a deal involving westbrook and getting meaningful leverage for the team.
